  ▫  ON/OFF:  If you forget to turn the scale off, the scale will shut itself off automatically after a period of non

     use.  To weigh something turn the scale on.  The scale will cycle to zero.  Once the scale is set to zero simply place

     the item to be weighed on the platform.  The weight is displayed.  To turn the scale off remove the item and press the

     ON/OFF button.

  ▫  HOLD:  The scale weighs a max load of 36 pounds.  Heavy boxes are usually large and may be larger than the scale

     likely covering the display.  When you weigh a large box, just turn the scale on and let it cycle to zero.  Then weigh the

     item by placing it on the weighing platform.  Press the HOLD button to freeze the reading.  Remove the box.  The

     weight continues to be displayed after the box is removed.

     (A great option for large packages, which can be removed, to read the weight)

  ▫  TARE:  The tare feature lets you weigh the contents of a container,  Turn the scale on.  Place the container on the

     weighing platform.  The weight of the container is displayed.  Press the TARE button to subtract the weight of the

     container.  The scale will reset to zero.  Fill the container while it's on the scale.  The scale shows the weight of the

     contents only.

  ▫  MODE:  Items can be weighed in pounds and ounces or in kilograms and grams.  You may toggle between the

     two units of measure with a press of the MODE button.
